DAY 15- Lete to Tatopani

Eighteen miles and my feet are killing me! This extreme downhill is causing old injuries to act up. My knee is hurting, as is the old stress fracture site on my right foot. I have 2 fluid filled blisters on my right toes as well. I’m wearing $200 Vasque backpacking boots and the best $15 hiking socks REI sells…It’s my feet that I need to return to the manufacturer!

Today we camped in Tatopani, elevation 3,900 ft. The hot springs were just a 5 minute walk away. It’s too hot to be swimming in a hot spring though. I have another rooster pecking at the tent and a big field of corn right in front of me. The next few days are ALL downhill except for tomorrow when we climb up to Gorapani (2,000 ft ascent).
